Weekend trips to "Cabo"
Lo and his friends Sophia, Kaian and Koa have heading over to the neighborhood pool for some serious swim time. It is such a beautiful place the other Mommies and I have named it Cabo! Every time we go it feels like we are on a beautiful vacation. It is such a good time that even the Dads are now coming to party. And it is usually pretty empty except for our little group

Night Time Zoo
Lo and I are lucky enough to be members of the San Diego Zoological Society, that means we get to go to the zoo anytime we like!! So we decided to hit up the "night time zoo". The SD zoo is open until 9pm in the summer and everyone gets to see the animals moving around after all the San Diego heat disappears. It really is amazing how many ACTIVE animals we got to see.. Unfortunately I have zero pics of the wild life, just photos of Lo and I.... You'll either have to take my word or join us next summer...

My Little Rock Star
Logan has developed a new love for the drums! I have no idea where this came from, he just decided one day to set this set up and go to town. Here is a video of he most recent performance, complete with singing!
I am pretty sure that Logan has a bit of rock star in his blood, here is an old video of him dancing to Social D when he was about 18 months old

Summer 2009
Mammoth Lakes with Mumi and Mom
Lo and I made our annual pilgrimage to Mammoth Lakes in the summer time and this time we invited Mumi!! I love to camp at Twin Lakes campground in Mammoth and have going almost every summer for the past 10 years. I swear it is one of my most favorite spots in the world in July. And I think this is the year where he finally got that we were camping and it was SOOOO stinkin' FUN!

the bridge, we could watch the fish swim by
One day Lo, Mumi and I thought it would be great fun to go boating! I suggested a canoe, but Mumi said "Lets go for the row boat its much more stable and I know how to row" So once on the lake it became very apparent that none of us know how to "row". Trust me its WAAAY harder than it looks. We were laughing so hard that we were asked by fellow boaters to "move along" because the commotion we were making was scaring the fish. Mumi responded with "we are not boat people!!"
Next adventure was off to June lake for a day of swimming and sand toys. Perfect day: not too crowded, warm but not too hot, and plenty of scenery and cool refreshing water.
Seriously, I can not think of a prettier place to swim

Then off to ride the gondola up to the top of Mammoth Mountain
And who know there would be SNOW at the top!! Obviously not Mom or I would have dressed my kiddo in shoes not flip flops!! But we made the best of it and had a snowball fight! Here is Mumi and Lo actively throwing a snowball at Mom.

At the very top of the peak
Logan and I took a ride of the trolley and it took us through the Mammoth Lakes basin. We saw lake George, Lake Mamie, Lake Mary and Horseshoe Lake. So awesome and Lo liked the music so much he was dancing the entire time.

4th of July
I LOVE the 4th of July, it is one of my very fav holidays! I hope one day Lo can enjoy it as much as I do. We spent the day at the Lagoon with some of our very best friends, and everyone had a blast in the water and on the slides. Mumi and Auntie Eddie even joined us! After the fun in the sun we headed home for a quick rest before having a BBQ with Mumi's neighbors, where the older boys lit off fireworks in the street, such a treat to have our very own show. Then off to the big fireworks in the sky. While running to find the best spot for the show, Logan lost a flip flop (a very cheap OLD flip flop) I told him not to worry about it and that we would find it later. But he spend the WHOLE fireworks display wondering where his shoe went, he didn't even notice the huge display in the sky. Maybe next year!
Logan in the sand with all his toys. I think this is the first time he has not charged into the water, but instead playing with sand toys. Making progress :)
Our little group: Garrett, Joy and Tatum Silvery (and baby boy unnamed Silvery), Sarah, Jeff and Aaron Gordy (and new baby to be Gordy) and of course me and Lo. *Mattie was not interested in a group photo so she decided to go down the slide, but the Jazayeris were there too.*
