Hike!!

Logan and I recently joined a new playgroup "Toddlers and Kids on the trail". We have met some really nice new friends (you can see them in the background) and have been getting out to enjoy some San Diego hikes. Lo loves to hike and also loves to stop on the trail to hug trees.

Small pool at the end of the Mission Trails hike and we had to put our feet and hands in the water. sooo refreshing and cool

a drink from the water fountain

Hugging a tree. Check out the shorts (they are on backwards), Logan is dressing himself now.

The Drive In

Lo and I recently took a trip to the drive in. I haven't been since I was a kid and I really wasn't sure how it was going to work out. But we had a great time!!

Tidepools

San Diego has been having some serious "May Grey" weather, and the thick marine layer has me missing life by the sea. So I decided that Lo and I should head out the Point Loma tide pools at low tide this past Saturday. It was perfect tide pooling weather, foggy but warm, we loved it!

Logan found crabs. And got to hold them and let them crawl on his hands, sooo cool.

And anemones, but he was not a fan. I think something about the sticky tenticles freaked him out. I love them though, so I touched a bunch of them. Besides he would much rather play in the water.

And just enjoyed the ocean all around.

Happy Day Mamma's!

I had the best Mothers Day!! Logan made me a picture a Miss Suzy's of his sweet little hand prints, best present ever! And then Mumi and Aunt Ellie came down to Chula for a day of gardening in the sun. We ripped out plants, re-planted new ones (that I like much better), and Aunt Ellie even mowed the lawn. Lo missed all the excitement because he fell asleep, but when he did wake up, he put on his boots and was ready to help!

Mumi and Ellie had to head home so Lo and I went over to Granny's house to wish her a Happy Mothers Day too. We played dinsours, and Granny has a great "Rooaaarrrr".

Koa turns 3!!

Logan's very good friend Koa, turned three last weekend. He had a big party at My Kids Clubhouse in Bonita. Logan had a great time, especially in the ball pit. The party finished up with cake and Koa opening one present. Happy Birthday Koa!

Making coffee

Logan loves to help make coffee in the morning! He can't wait to get downstairs and wait for it to brew, actually make that both of us. He does NOT like to drink it, that's OK it leaves more for Mom and really this kid does not need more energy.

Chula Vista Nature Center

Logan and his good friend Owen went down to the local nature center this weekend, and it was a blast. There were sharks, fish, eels, turtles, and birds. It really is an amazing facility, unfortunately it will be closed to city budget cuts, and that really is sad. Here is a link to information on helping to keep it up and running.

My little biologist, loved the microscope, I am so proud!

Logan and Owen read the map and are very good at directions, pretty amazing.

The best part of the trip was definitely the ride on the bus, both boys whole hearted agree. We were looking at the lovely view of the ocean and wetlands, and both boys got SUPER excited to see the bus in the distance.

Owen's mom Erika, O and Lo checkin' out the bat rays. A successful trip. Thanks for joining us Owen!!
