Lo and I made our annual pilgrimage to Mammoth Lakes in the summer time and this time we invited
Mumi!! I love to camp at Twin Lakes campground in Mammoth and have going almost every summer for the past 10 years. I swear it is one of my most favorite spots in the world in July. And I think this is the year where he finally got that we were camping and it was
SOOOO stinkin' FUN!

the bridge, we could watch the fish swim by

One day Lo,
Mumi and I thought it would be great fun to go boating! I suggested a canoe, but
Mumi said "Lets go for the row boat its much more stable and I know how to row" So once on the lake it became very apparent that none of us know how to "row". Trust me its
WAAAY harder than it looks. We were laughing so hard that we were asked by fellow boaters to "move along" because the commotion we were making was scaring the fish.
Mumi responded with "we are not boat people!!"
I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard.

Next adventure was off to June lake for a day of swimming and sand toys. Perfect day: not too crowded, warm but not too hot, and plenty of scenery and cool refreshing water.

Seriously, I can not think of a prettier place to swim

Then off to ride the gondola up to the top of Mammoth Mountain

And who know there would be SNOW at the top!! Obviously not Mom or I would have dressed my kiddo in shoes not flip flops!! But we made the best of it and had a snowball fight! Here is
Mumi and Lo actively throwing a snowball at Mom.

At the very top of the peak

Logan and I took a ride of the trolley and it took us through the Mammoth Lakes basin. We saw lake George, Lake Mamie, Lake Mary and Horseshoe Lake. So awesome and Lo liked the music so much he was dancing the entire time.

We decided to make the drive home part of the vacation, so we stopped at the Keogh Hot springs ditch. Its right off the 395 and yet still totally tucked away, you would never know we were there...

the water was warm and soothing and we all bathed for at least an hour. A wonderful vacation to the sierras. I can't lie, I LOVE my life :)
I LOVE these pictures! Looks so beautiful, we will have to go next summer too. The rowing and the lake remind me of Norway. Next time you should bring my mother-in-law, she is an expert rower!
